RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

 1.WORKING HOURS OF THE LIBRARY:

A.   Circulation of library books:

            MONDAY – FRIDAY             

§  6.45AM to 4.45PM 

SATURDAY (2ND AND 4TH SATURDAY CLOSED)

§  6.45 AM to 1.45 PM

(No library books will be issued and returned on SUNDAY and other HOLIDAYS. However in Summer Vacation Library will be remained open for students.

B.    Reading Room facilities:

 MONDAY– FRIDAY >> 6.45 a.m. – 4.45 p.m.

 SATURDAY (EXCEPT 2ND & 4TH SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH) >> 6.45 AM– 1.45 PM

C.   Library Card Related Issues:

MONDAY – FRIDAY  

 7AM - 2PM

 

2. Books should be returned within a fortnight (14days) from the date of issue. Please refer to the due date stamp given on the date label of the borrowed book/s. Book can be renewed on or before 14 days for another period of 14 days.

3. A library fine is to be paid ‘if’ the library book/s are kept beyond 30 days (Thirty days). After that Library fine will be charged @1/- per day.

4.There are Two Types of cards – Blue coloured card -for home issue and White Coloured card is for reading room access.

5. Students must bring their Reading Room card and Home-issue card for library transaction. Without card no one will get library services.

6. Honours students can borrow two library books for home and general students can issue one book at a time from the library.

7. Library Cards are not transferable. One student can not use the other student’s library card.

8. A fine of Rs.50/- will be charged for each card if damaged or lost.

9. Books marked as “Reading Room” can neither be issued for home nor be taken outside the library.

10. ‘Silence’ must be maintained in the library.  Gossiping, loud telephonic conversation, eating, sleeping are not allowed inside the library.

                        In case of library rules and regulations college authority and librarian’s discretion will be treated as final.
