About

Lalbaba college is a co-educational non-government grant-in-aid type degree college and is affiliated to the University of Calcutta, one of the prestigious institutions of higher learning in Eastern India.  The college was founded on August 5, 1964 by opening B.Com(Hons) by Lalbaba Trust of the locality and the first class started in the evening shift within the Rashbari area before erecting its own building. The commerce department is the oldest and largest  department of the college. The college has received UGC recognition under 2f of UGC in August 1965. It has gone for NAAC Accreditation in 2004 and has received B+ Grade with an institutional score of 78%. As a conglomeration of more than one thousand five hundred students in the department of commerce (both morning and day section), nurtured by seventeen faculty members , the department has grown into a seminary of modern learning over the years.

SEMINAR ON HYBRID MODE OF TEACHING LEARNING IN THE CONTEXT OF NEW EDUCATION POLICY

Introduction:

The seminar, titled "Hybrid Mode of Teaching-Learning in the Context of NEP," explored the integration of technology and social networking platforms into education in light of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.At the outset, in charge of the department, Mr. Rash Kumar Dey inaugurate the seminar and introduced all the speakers. The event witnessed valuable insights from the Principal, Convenor, and renowned resource person Shelly Dey Pandit.

Principal's Speech:

In his opening address, the Principal, Dr. Sanjoy Kumar emphasized the NEP's focus on holistic development and the crucial role of technology in achieving this goal. He highlighted the advantages of the hybrid mode, encompassing both physical and virtual learning spaces, in catering to diverse needs and learning styles. Dr. Kumar underscored the need for seamless integration of technology and social media platforms to foster collaborative learning, personalized feedback, and engagement beyond the classroom walls.
